If you’re thinking about signing on the dotted line for the Cadillac XT5, you might want to do it now before the 2019 Cadillac XT5 arrives. The 2019 Cadillac XT5 will be a lot more expensive than the 2018 model, with prices increasing as much as $2,500.

2018 Cadillac XT5

CarsDirect managed to get its hands on the order guides for the 2019 Cadillac XT5, which shows that the price of the XT5 will increase from $1,100 to $2,500 compared to the previous model year. The 2019 XT5 will offer more safety features, but the price hike is also probably an attempt to give the new XT4 more breathing room in the lineup.

2018 Cadillac XT5

The 2019 Cadillac XT5 will start at $42,690, which is $1,100 more than the 2018 XT5. The Luxury trim level starts at $49,490, a $1,900 increase, while the Premium Luxury trim level is $1,100 more at $55,190. The top XT5 Platinum is priced at $66,890, which is a whopping $2,500 more.

The price increases can partially be attributed to more standard features. The 2019 XT5 now comes standard with the Driver Awareness Package, which was previously a $770 option. The package includes features, like low-speed auto emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance. The Platinum model now has front & reverse auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and auto parking assist.

If the 2019 Cadillac XT5 is now out of your price range, the 2019 XT4 will be the better option, since it starts at $35,790.
