Last week Cadillac unveiled the new Elmiraj Concept, which is a large coupe that is built on the same platform as an upcoming Cadillac model. Cadillac originally stated that the Elmiraj concept was basically a design study, but now there is a possibility that it could be produced.
Bob Ferguson, senior vice president of Cadillac told Automotive News that the concept is “very doable” and that “dealers really want a vehicle like this.” He also stated, “This car is marketable. It’s practical enough to be put through the production process.”
If the rear-wheel-drive Elmiraj does enter production, it’s likely that it will arrive sometime after Cadillac’s new flagship sedan that’s coming in 2015.
