BMW is now making it a little easier for new car shoppers that want to jump on the subscription bandwagon. BMW has announced the introduction of a new cheaper tier that’s offered in its “Access by BMW” subscription service.
The new Icon tier is priced at $1,099 a month and gives access to vehicles, like the i3, 330i, 330e, X2, X3 and M240i convertible. BMW has also lowered the prices for the other two tiers, $1,399 (from $2,000) and $2,699 (from $3,700).
As of right now the “Access by BMW” subscription service is being tested as a pilot in $1,399 Nashville, Tennessee. BMW hasn’t announced when the subscription service will be expanded to other markets. Mercedes-Benz is also testing a similar service in Nashville and Philadelphia.
