BMW has officially unveiled its new flagship SUV, the 2019 BMW X7, which is going to arrive next spring. The BMW X7 comes standard with three rows of seats and will be offered with the choice of either a six- or eight-cylinder engine.

The 2019 BMW X7 is 203.3 inches long, 78.7 inches wide and 71.1 inches tall. At the front the X7’s face is dominated by a large, polarizing new take on BMW’s kidney grille, which is flanked by thin headlights. From the side the X7 features a tall roofline and rear doors that are longer than the front to provide easier access to the second and third row seats. At the rear the X7’s taillights are similar to the new X5.

Inside there’s room for up to seven passengers and the standard three-panel panoramic glass sunroof fills the interior with natural light. The standard second row seat provides room for up to three passengers, but individual Captain’s Chairs are optional. The third row seat offers room for two passengers.

Under the hood the X7 is available with either a 3.0L six-cylinder engine in the X7 xDrive40i, which generates 335 hp and 330 lb-ft. or a 4.4-liter V8 in the X7 xDrive50i that generates 456 hp and 479 lb-ft. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The X7 xDrive50i reaches 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and the X7 xDrive40i reaches the same speed in 5.8 seconds.

The X7 comes standard with all-wheel drive and an air suspension. The 2019 BMW X7 xDrive40i starts at $74,895, while the X7 xDrive50i starts at $93,595.
