BMW’s new flagship convertible is here! BMW has unveiled the 2019 BMW 8 Series convertible ahead of its debut later this month at the LA Auto Show.
The 2019 8 Series convertible will arrive next spring with the first version being the M850i XDrive convertible. Just like the 8 Series coupe, it’s powered by a 4.4L V8 with 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft. of torque. The V8 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and sends its power to all four wheels.
The 2019 BMW M850i XDrive convertible can reach 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and a limited top speed of 155 mph.
The 8 Series convertible is nearly identical to the coupe, with the exception of its soft-top, which can be lowered or raised in 15 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph. When the top is down there are optional neck warmers to keep you warm.
The 2019 BMW M850i XDrive convertible will go on sale in March 2019 and starts at $122,395.
