We’re just two months away from the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, but here’s a preview of one new model that will debut at the show – the BMW X2. Leaked patent photos have revealed the final design of the BMW X2, which was previewed last year at the Paris Motor Show with the X2 concept.
The 2018 BMW X2 should arrive early next year
The X2 is the sportier alternative to the X1, just like how the X4 is sportier than the X3 and the X6 is the “sexier” alternative to the more family friendly X5. Unlike the X4 and X6 models, the X2 profile isn’t as coupe-like, but it is lower than the X1. The leaked patent drawings were registered with the Japanese Patent Office earlier this year, revealing the final design of the X2, which isn’t dramatically different than the concept.
Compared to the concept, the X2 gets bigger mirrors, a less aggressive front bumper and bigger headlights. As you move to the side you’ll see regular door handles and the rear gets smaller tailpipes.
The X2 is expected to arrive in 2018 following its debut this fall in Frankfurt.
