BMW is using the SEMA Show in Las Vegas to debut the new line of M Performance Parts for the 2018 BMW M5.
The range of available M Performance Parts not only make the M5 look even sportier and luxurious, but also add some aerodynamic, cooling and performance upgrades. To help improve the M5’s aerodynamic performance, there’s items, like side sill attachments, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a carbon fiber rear spoiler Pro, and a rear diffuser.
The exterior of the M5 can also stand out even more with M Performance carbon fiber mirror caps and a unique front kidney grille with the M logo.
To tighten things up a bit on the road, the BMW M Performance coilover suspension has been developed specifically for the BMW M5 and carbon-ceramic brakes help shorten the braking distances. A new BMW M Performance sports exhaust system is also available exclusively in the U.S. and Canada.
Lastly the new M Performance Drive Analyzer lets you record and analyze your driving performance on your smart phone. The Drive Analyzer determines a variety of relevant indicators such as diverse engine data, speed and peak values, engaged gear, use of accelerator pedal and brakes as well as lateral acceleration.
Most of the M Performance Parts will be available when the 2018 BMW M5 arrives in the spring, although some additional parts won’t arrive until July 2018.
