BMW is going to unveil the Progressive Activity Sedan (PAS) at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009 according to Auto Motor und Sport.

The 5-Series based sedan will take a lot of styling cues from the recently introduced X6 SAV. It will feature a hatchback design, a raised ride height and be about an inch longer than the X6. Most of the sedan’s mechanicals will come from the 5 and 7-Series. All-wheel-drive will also be optional.

The PAS is expected to go on sale shortly after its unveiling in September 2009.
