Yesterday BMW announced that it is bringing a new electric concept car to the Frankfurt Motor Show next week. The concept previews a new model that will slot in between the i3 and i8 models, but BMW is now saying that it is not a preview of the i5.
It was originally thought that it would be a preview of the i5, but a new teaser has surfaced proving that the concept is definitely not the i5 and instead a sleeker four-door concept.
Either way BMW says that it wants to have at least 25 electrified models in its lineup by the middle of the next decade and at least half of those will be fully electric. Going forward, all fully-electric BMWs will belong to BMW i sub-brand, including the upcoming electric X3.
