BMW has M versions of the X5 and X6 crossovers, but what about its smaller crossovers like the X1 and X3? Well it looks like BMW is considering an M version of the X1. BMW is currently studying the idea of putting a 320-hp turbocharged six-cylinder under the hood of the X1.
The X1 M would put out a little more power than the top engine in the larger X3. It would also get an M body kit and an upgraded suspension.
Does BMW really need an M version of the X1?
