Although the 2017 BMW i3 got a significant battery upgrade that increased the electric car’s driving range by 50 percent, the 2018 i3 may be getting another upgrade. It’s rumored that BMW is going to give the i3 a refresh sometime next year, with some styling updates and most importantly, an even better driving range.

According to at least one report, the updated i3 will get revised front and rear fascias. While the battery upgrade won’t be as significant as the 2017 model received, the upgrade should let the i3 break the 150 mile barrier as it struggles to compete with longer range models, like the new Chevy Bolt.
