BMW Announces the Performance Edition for the 335i and 135i

BMW 135i and 335i owners can now upgrade the power under the hood of their BMW’s thanks to a new Performance Edition kit that has been announced by BMW.

The Performance Edition is being offered for a limited time on 2011 335i sedans through the end of the year. The kit includes a power kit (engine tuning software), black kidney grilles and a “BMW Performance Edition” badge for only $550.

With the upgrades the engine output changes from 300 to 320 horsepower and 300 to 317 lb-ft. of torque on manual models and 332 lb-ft for automatic equipped models. It reaches 0-60 mph 0.2 seconds faster than the standard model as well.

Existing owners will be able to upgrade their cars at the end of the year, but the pricing for retrofitting those cars has not been announced.
