Bentley has pulled the covers off the 2021 Bentley Bentayga Speed, which arrives with the same turbocharged W12 engine as before, but with a restyled exterior.

2021 Bentley Bentayga Speed

Under the hood the Bentayga Speed is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 engine that generates 626 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. That’s enough power to accelerate the high-performance SUV from 0-62 mph in only 3.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 190 mph.

Even with all that power, Bentley is still concerned with fuel efficiency and emissions, so the engine has cylinder deactivation technology that can shut down six of the cylinders. There’s also a new “Sail” mode where the Bentayga will open the torque converter in 5th through 8th gear and decouple the drivetrain from the engine. This drops the engine to idle and helps save fuel.

“The new Bentayga Speed remains the fastest SUV in the world, but more than that, it’s also the most luxurious version of the new Bentayga – the best of both worlds, the pinnacle,” stated Bentley Chairman and Chief Executive, Adrian Hallmark.

There are also optional carbon ceramic brakes to keep everything under control

On the outside, the Bentley Bentayga Speed looks the part with its more aggressive front and rear fascias. At the front there are dark-tint headlights and bumper grilles, while the rear gets oval exhaust finishers and dark-tint taillights. The Bentayga Speed also rides on unique and massive 22-inch wheels.

Inside the interior gets Alcantara and quilted leather. There’s also a 10.9-inch touchscreen.

The 2021 Bentley Bentayga Speed will arrive in the first quarter of 2021.
