While Ford shared some exciting news about the Ford GT today, Ford also gave us a bit of bad news. While the Ford Ranger Raptor is being offered in several markets, the US isn’t on the lucky list.

2019 Ford Ranger Raptor

Hermann Salenbauch, the vehicle line director for Ford Performance confirmed the news about Ranger Raptor. While Ranger fans in the United States would obviously love the off-road ready Ranger Raptor, Ford decided against bringing it here, since the Ranger Raptor is based on the global Ranger. Bringing the Ranger Raptor up to US requirements would apparently cost too much money and time to justify selling it here.

Salenbauch also stated that the Ranger Raptor was developed for countries that don’t have the F-150 Raptor, so that everyone can have a chance to get a Raptor. In the US we have the F-150 Raptor, which is one of Ford’s hottest selling models. Ford says that the F-150 Raptor only stays on dealer lots an average of 20 days.
