2020 Audi SQ7 and SQ8 are coming this spring with 500-hp

Want a 500 horsepower SUV? Well there aren’t many options with that much power, but Audi has just given you two more. Audi has announced that both the 2020 SQ7 and SQ8 are going to arrive in the US this spring.

Both the Audi SQ7 and SQ8 are powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 500 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque that’s mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. Both S models can reach 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and have a top track speed of 155 mph.

The all-wheel drive system automatically sends 60 percent of the torque to the rear, but it can send up to 80 percent if it’s needed. The torque can also be sent from side-to-side at the rear wheels.  To improve the handling and low-speed maneuverability, all-wheel steering has also been added, which turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the front wheels. There’s also the optional electromechanical active roll stabilization, which can stiffen the front and rear stabilizer bars when you want to have more fun.

On the outside the 2020 SQ7 and SQ8 stand out from the rest of the lineup with Alu-optic or Black-optic design elements, including air intake blades, side sill blades, silver mirror caps and quad exhaust outlets. The SQ7 gets a new octagonal Singleframe grille and buyers can choose from 20- or 21-inch wheel designs. The SQ8 gets an Alu-optic grille surround and unique 21- and 22-inch wheel designs.

Inside, the SQ7 and SQ8 have standard front S sport seats with cross-sticked leather and heating and ventilation.
