One of the more exciting things about the Fiat/ Chrysler tie up has been the possibility that Alfa Romeo would make a return to the US. Well it looks like we may have to wait a bit longer. Fiat/ Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne recently stated at the Detroit Auto Show that Alfa Romeo must prove that it has “a right to exist as a separate brand” before it is expanded beyond Europe. The original plans were to launch Alfa Romeo in the US in 2010, but according to Marchionne if Alfa doesn’t make a good business case for it, it’t not going to happen…
