Acura is bringing back the RSX nameplate for an all-new electric SUV, set to hit showrooms in the second half of 2026. Earlier this year, Acura teased the 2026 Acura RSX EV with a photo of a camouflaged prototype that revealed part of its rear design. Now, the automaker has confirmed that it will officially debut the Acura RSX Prototype EV, offering a near-production look at the upcoming electric SUV.

Unlike the Acura ZDX, which rides on a GM-sourced platform, the RSX EV will be built on Acura’s new in-house-developed electric vehicle platform. It will also be the first model to feature Acura’s proprietary ASIMO OS operating system, first showcased at CES 2025.

Acura has released the first official teaser image of the RSX Prototype EV, highlighting its aggressive front fascia and bold design language, signaling a sportier and more performance-focused approach for the brand’s next-generation EV lineup.
