Acura is letting owners more easily maintain one of its best-known sports cars, the iconic NSX. The new Honda Heritage Parts will start selling again parts made to the original specification for the very first Acura NSX this coming summer.

These parts are to be sold through Acura dealers across the country, and are meant to assist those who like to care for and bring back to original condition the initial NSX.

The news is released while Acura is marking its fortieth birthday, so the launch is especially appropriate for a make whose standing was partly created by the revolutionary NSX.

The scheme will consist of two kinds of spare parts, made to ensure that even as original parts become more difficult to obtain, older cars can still be kept in working order.

Genuine Honda Reproduction Parts are to be made using the same materials and production processes as the original parts used when the vehicle was originally put together.

Honda Compatible Parts, however, are brand-new replacements intended to stand in for parts which Honda can no longer make exactly as they once did, as they have been stopped.

Acura states that the plan has been enabled by fresh arrangements with suppliers, along with improvements in how things are made, and the materials used.

At the moment, the program is centered on the first NSX, but Acura and Honda are looking at giving more parts assistance to other old performance models in their range.

There is no news yet of prices and the precise parts that will be on offer.

The new parts program is part of a larger project called Honda Heritage Works, a worldwide operation to help save old Honda and Acura performance cars.

Honda Heritage Works will put together parts reproduction help with an official repair service for those collectors and fans who want help from the factory in keeping their cars going. The program will begin in Japan on April 1st, 2026, and will then spread.
