Following the slightly modified 2012 VW Beetle that the guys over at VWVortex created, ABT Sportsline has officially unveiled its first modified version of the 2012 VW Beetle, dubbed the Speedle.

The VW tuning firm will offer upgrades to the exterior and under the hood of the 2012 Beetle. ABT is still ironing out the details for the performance upgrades, but we 2012_VW_Beetle_ABT_Speedle_2.jpg do know that performance kits will be available for the entire engine lineup in Europe. The 2.0L turbocharged engine is expected to get an upgrade to around 240-hp, which is up from the current 200-hp the engine puts out.

ABT is also going to offer a lowered sport suspension with a bunch of new wheel options. A new aero kit with a front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler and rear diffuser is also available.

Expect more details from the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
