A New Chevy Crossover is Finally on the Way, But Why Did Buick Get it First?

It seems like everyday an automaker announces plans for a new crossover vehicle. Well now we can add Chevrolet to the list. Due to slipping Trailblazer sales, Chevy is hard at work on a crossover replacement for its aging SUV. The new vehicle, will be built on the same platform as the new Saturn Outlook (shown above), GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave crossovers.

Rumor has it that the new Chevy badged vehicle will be named the Traverse.

The current Trailblazer SUV is expected to be phased out by 2010 and the new “Traverse” will take its place in the Chevy lineup.

It is interesting that GM decided to make Chevy wait for the new crossover, rather than GMC or Buick.
