Kia has unveiled the all-new 2027 Telluride.

2027 Kia Telluride SXP

The 2027 Telluride grows slightly in every key dimension. It’s 2.3 inches longer, its wheelbase stretches nearly three inches, and height increases by about an inch. The goal was evolution rather than a clean slate, keeping the boxy, upright stance that made the original so popular while giving the SUV a more modern, technical look inspired by Kia’s Opposites United design language.

Kia will officially unveil the redesigned Telluride later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show, with a full lineup that includes the off-road-focused X-Pro model. The SUV should reach showrooms in early 2026.

Kia’s designers leaned into contrast—combining rugged lines with more upscale details. Up front, the Telluride gets a broad hood, clean surfacing, a high-gloss grille, and new vertical LED light signatures that mirror the twin-bar taillights from the outgoing model. The look is more modern but still immediately recognizable as a Telluride.

Along the sides, Kia added triangular fender creases, floating wheel cladding, flush door handles, and a sleeker roofline that doesn’t sacrifice interior space. Sculpted wheel-well notches and sharper body lines give the redesigned SUV a more athletic profile.

At the rear, wider fender forms and a higher beltline help create a more planted stance. The taillights adopt a cleaner, architectural look with body-colored surfaces separating the vertical light bars.

2027 Kia Telluride X-Pro

The Telluride X-Pro continues as the rugged member of the family. It features blacked-out trim, raised roof rails, a mesh-style grille, and a squared-off bumper. Beyond the design changes, the X-Pro adds all-terrain tires, 9.1 inches of ground clearance, and front and rear recovery hooks. It’s positioned as the most adventure-ready version of the new SUV.

Kia emphasized lighting as a defining feature of the new Telluride. The updated front and rear designs use vertical LED elements that give the SUV a more high-tech appearance without losing the recognizable Telluride look. X-Pro models also add Ground Lighting, which illuminates the area around the SUV, including lighting from the tailgate when raised—useful for campsite or roadside tasks.

Wheel options will range from 18 to 21 inches, with the X-series getting thicker, more utilitarian spoke designs.

Inside, the 2027 Telluride aims to be more premium and more functional. A wide, horizontal layout and wraparound design create an open-feeling cabin, while new materials—including wood-like textures, metal accents, and soft ambient lighting—give it a more upscale environment.

The cabin design blends rugged elements like large grab handles with modern features such as a new center-console lighting treatment. Rear passengers get additional storage and a console that doubles as a table, and the cargo area now includes a folding luggage table with ruler markings and a removable partition.

The SUV’s increased size improves interior access to the second and third rows, and models with sunroofs gain about half an inch of headroom.

Kia is introducing new interior color themes, including Deep Navy with Tuscan Umber and an all-new Blackberry and Sand Beige combination. X-series trims get more subdued, adventure-ready palettes like black, khaki, and saddle brown. Exterior colors expand to ten shades, including new options like Black Jade Green and Terrain Brown, both offered in glossy or matte finishes.

The redesigned 2027 Kia Telluride will make its world debut at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show, with sales set to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
