Subaru has unveiled pricing for the all-new 2026 Outback, which enters its seventh generation with bold new styling, upgraded technology, and more standard safety features. The redesigned Outback arrives at dealerships later this year with a starting price of $36,445, while the rugged Outback Wilderness will follow in early 2026.

The Outback celebrates its 30th year on sale with more than three million units sold in the U.S., and Subaru is calling the 2026 model the most significant redesign in the SUV’s history. The boxier profile delivers more interior space and cargo capacity, while the updated design gives the Outback a stronger, more SUV-like presence on the road.
The 2026 Outback will be offered in six trims: Premium, Limited, Touring, Limited XT, Touring XT, and Wilderness. Most versions are powered by a 2.5-liter flat-four Boxer engine with 180 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. Higher trims — Limited XT, Touring XT, and Wilderness — get a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer with 260 hp and 277 lb-ft. All Outbacks come standard with a CVT automatic, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and at least 8.7 inches of ground clearance (9.5 inches on the Wilderness).
Inside, every Outback now comes with a 12.1-inch Subaru Multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, paired with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Subaru has also expanded its driver-assistance tech, with features like Automatic Emergency Steering, Emergency Stop Assist, and a wide-angle camera to improve pedestrian and cyclist detection.

Other available features include a Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and cloud-based navigation. The Wilderness model ups the adventure factor with all-terrain tires, raised suspension, dual-mode X-Mode, electronically controlled dampers, and unique exterior cladding.
