Last summer Mazda unveiled the fully redesigned 2026 CX-5, the third generation of its best-selling SUV. The new CX-5 keeps its familiar shape but sharpens Mazda’s Kodo design language with slimmer LED headlights, a wider stance, and new “MAZDA” script badging. The 2026 CX-5 is slated to arrive later this year, but Mazda has released the pricing, which starts at $31,485.

Under the hood, Mazda continues with the Skyactiv-G 2.5L four-cylinder (187 hp, 186 lb-ft) paired with a 6-speed automatic and standard i-Activ AWD. It also gets updated dampers, revised tires, improved G-Vectoring Control Plus, and new drive modes.

Inside, the CX-5 gets quieter and more refined, with streamlined controls and a major tech upgrade: a 12.9-inch center display (or available 15.6-inch screen) running a Google built-in interface with voice-command capability. A digital driver display and available head-up display round out the cockpit.
Mazda also boosts safety with a long list of standard ADAS features, including Radar Cruise Control, Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, Emergency Lane Keeping, and a rear camera with dynamic guidelines.
Trim levels range from the well-equipped 2.5 S to the feature-packed Premium Plus, which adds items like ventilated seats, Bose audio, 360º camera, panoramic roof, and the Driver Personalization System shared with Mazda’s CX-90 flagship.
