Lexus has given the IS sedan a major update for the 2026 model year, refining its styling inside and out while adding new tech and safety features. The refreshed IS will now only be offered in one variant, the IS 350, with buyers able to choose between F Sport Design and F Sport trims.

Updated Styling

On the outside, the 2026 IS gets a sharper front design that emphasizes its low stance and wide proportions. F Sport models add extra performance cues, including a new rear spoiler and available red brake calipers. Both trims ride on redesigned 19-inch lightweight aluminum wheels. A new exterior color called Wind joins the lineup.

A More Modern Interior

Inside, Lexus has reworked the instrument panel, center console, and trim pieces to give the cabin a more modern and sporty feel. A larger 12.3-inch touchscreen is now standard, running the Lexus Interface system with improved visibility and more intuitive controls. The digital instrument cluster also grows to 12.3 inches.

A new “Forged Bamboo” trim gives the cabin a distinctive look, while F Sport models get a bold Radiant Red interior option. The IS comes standard with a 10-speaker Lexus Premium Sound system, while an optional 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio upgrade is available. Lexus has also added more convenience features, including front and rear USB-C charging ports and an improved wireless phone charging pad.

Performance and Driving Dynamics

Power for the 2026 IS comes from a familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The rear-wheel drive version uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the all-wheel drive model gets a six-speed automatic. Lexus also says that updates to the steering and suspension improve responsiveness and steering feel.

The 2026 Lexus IS 350 will arrive at dealerships in early 2026.
