To mark the 250th birthday of the United States, Dodge has shown off a new Durango. At the New York International Auto Show, they introduced the 2026 Dodge Durango America250 Edition, and it has a special patriotic look, better quality materials in the interior, plus you can get it with a V6 or a V8 engine.

The Durango GT America250 Edition is easily recognizable because of its special exterior details: dual stripes with blue lines looking like trails of light, America250 logos, and 20 inch Black Noise wheels. It’s available in colors that fit the theme, being Red Oxide, White Knuckle, Night Moves blue, Destroyer Gray, and Diamond Black.

The interior of the America250 Edition is nicer than a normal Durango GT. Black Laguna leather seats have blue holes in them, the front seats have an American flag imprinted on them, and there’s red and white stitching. The steering wheel has red, white and blue stitching, and Dodge has added interior trim made of forged carbon-fiber and unique red seat belts, so it’s very different from the standard model.
You have a choice of two engines for the special edition. You can have the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 that makes 295 horsepower, or go for the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 with 360 horsepower. If you get the HEMI, you can also get the Tow N Go package which means the Durango can tow up to 8700 pounds, which is the best towing in its class.

The 2026 Dodge Durango America250 Edition comes in three forms: GT Plus AWD, GT HEMI Plus AWD and GT HEMI Premium AWD. The GT Plus AWD is $49,590, the GT HEMI Plus AWD is $51,270, and the GT HEMI Premium AWD is $54,270 to start (you still need to add destination and other fees). You’ll be able to order one from the beginning of April.
And the Durango is still made in Detroit at Stellantis’ Detroit Assembly Complex, and this special version honors the SUV’s American-made history and the country’s 250th anniversary.
