Alfa Romeo has given the 2026 Tonale a refresh that sharpens its look and adds more personality to the brand’s compact luxury SUV. With a redesigned front fascia, new paint options, upgraded interior finishes, and a new Sport Speciale edition.

A Bolder Front End
For 2026, the Tonale gets a revised front fascia highlighted by a new concave “scudetto” grille, inspired by the classic Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. The updated design gives the SUV a more aggressive and athletic stance, with wider front and rear tracks and a reduced front overhang that enhances its proportions. The lower intakes have also been reshaped, emphasizing the Tonale’s width and connection to Alfa’s motorsport heritage.
New wheel options, including a striking 20-inch three-hole design, update the Tonale’s signature look. Subtle details like refreshed Alfa Romeo badging and optional black roof add a cleaner, more modern edge to the exterior.
New Sport Speciale Edition
The new Sport Speciale trim takes the 2026 Tonale to its sportiest look yet. It features silver accents on the side skirts and rear bumper, gloss-black Brembo calipers, and the new 20-inch three-hole wheels that nod to Alfa’s classic “telephone dial” design. Inside, the Sport Speciale gets black-and-pearl Alcantara seats, contrast stitching, and a dash wrapped in matching Alcantara — giving the cabin a more tailored and performance-oriented vibe.

Updated Interior with New Color Options
Alfa Romeo has refined the Tonale’s cabin with upgraded materials and expanded color choices. For the first time, buyers can choose red leather seats, joining the existing black leather option. Across all trims, new stitching patterns on the dashboard, doors, and armrests give the interior a more upscale feel.
Front seats are available with heating, ventilation, and power lumbar adjustment, while Alcantara and leather upholstery continue to give the Tonale an edge over more mainstream compact SUVs.
Expanded Color Palette
The 2026 Tonale introduces three new exterior colors — Rosso Brera, Verde Monza, and Giallo Ocra — joining returning favorites like Alfa Black, Misano Blue, and Grigio Ascari. The updated paint palette accentuates the Tonale’s sculpted lines and sporty proportions, while the optional black roof provides added contrast and customization.

Under the Hood
Under the hood, the Tonale continues with its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque through a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard Q4 all-wheel drive. A balanced chassis, available dual-mode suspension, and precise 13.6:1 steering ratio ensure that the Tonale remains one of the most engaging SUVs in its segment.
Available four-piston Brembo front brakes, aluminum paddle shifters, and the Alfa DNA drive mode selector let drivers tune the Tonale’s performance to their liking — from relaxed cruising to spirited backroad runs.
Simplified Lineup
The 2026 Tonale lineup is available in Sprint, Veloce, and Sport Speciale trims:
