Audi continues to expand its EV lineup, with recent introductions, like the Q6 e-tron SUV. At the entry-level point of its EV lineup, there’s the 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron presents a strong case for anyone looking for a luxurious, compact electric vehicle that blends style, comfort, and practicality. The Q4 e-tron competes with heavy weights, like the Genesis GV60 and the Tesla Model Y, but although everything is mostly good about the Q4 e-tron, it doesn’t quite push the envelope in every area.

2025 Audi Q4 e-tron Review

The Q4 etron is available in two body styles, the more conventional version or the more couple-like Sportback.

On the positive side, the Q4 e-tron’s ride quality stands out. It strikes a nice balance between comfort and performance, offering a smooth and pleasant drive. The spacious interior is another highlight, offering generous room for passengers and cargo. As we’d expect, Audi’s attention to detail is evident in the cabin’s design, which combines modern, sleek styling with premium materials. It’s definitely a class above what you’ll get with a Model Y.

The cabin, though spacious and well-appointed, could use more attention to comfort. The seats, in particular, feel a bit underwhelming for a vehicle with an Audi badge. They are ok for short trips, but on longer trips the seats become a bit uncomfortable.

On the tech front there’s a 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster and the 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Both screens look great, offering crisp graphics and a clean, intuitive interface that’s easy to navigate. Another highlight is the Sonos audio system, which sounds great and easily puts a smile on fans of Sonos, like myself.

Charging is another area where the Q4 e-tron impresses. The SUV is equipped with DC Fast Charging capabilities, supporting speeds of up to 175 kW. This means you can charge the battery from 10-80% in just around 28 minutes when using a DC fast charger, which makes longer trips more feasible. While its 82 kWh battery pack provides a respectable driving range of up to 288 miles, it’s worth noting that this is fairly average for the class. If you select the dual motor all-wheel drive version, the range drops to 258 miles, which isn’t great.

2025 Audi Q4 e-tron Review

In terms of power, the Q4 e-tron delivers up to 335 horsepower. While it’s quick enough to get from 0-60 mph in about five seconds, it doesn’t quite match the acceleration of its more performance-oriented rivals like the Tesla Model Y. In terms of driving dynamics, the Q4 e-tron is smooth, but it lacks the excitement that some other EVs in its class offer. The driving experience is more about comfort than engagement, which will disappoint some. The Q4 e-tron also lacks a one-pedal driving mode, which is something driver’s expect from an EV.

Additionally, the braking performance feels just okay—not bad, but not remarkable either. It’s odd that the Q4 Etron has rear drum brakes, that’s something that definitely feels old school and a bit down market.

The pricing for the 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron starts at $51,095, while the pricing for the sportier and more stylish Q4 Sportback e-tron starts at $59,495.

2025 Audi Q4 e-tron Review

At the end of the day, the 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron is an good all-around electric vehicle that offers a comfortable and comfortable driving experience, but it’s not quite the class leader in performance or range. The design, charging speed, and user-friendly technology are definitely its strong suits, making it a solid choice for those seeking a stylish and efficient EV that delivers on comfort. However, if you’re looking for a more thrilling driving experience or need the very best in range and charging times, you might want to explore some of its rivals.
