The Nissan Altima was completely redesigned for the 2019 model year, but Nissan has announced a few enhancements to the 2020 Altima.
The Nissan Safety Shield 360 of safety technologies, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, radar-based Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist, is now standard or available across the 2020 Altima lineup. Other upgrades include a mirror memory function to the Platinum grade and Piano Black interior finishers to SV, SL and Platinum trim levels.
The 2020 Altima comes standard with a 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder direct injection engine that generates 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. The available 2.0-liter VC-Turbo inline 4-cylinder is rated at 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to an Xtronic CVT transmission and all-wheel drive is available with the 2.5-liter engine.
The 2020 Nissan Altima starts at $24,995.
