The Hyundai Veloster was all-new for the 2019 model year, so the changes to the 2020 Veloster are minimal. The good news is that Hyundai has announced that the 2020 Veloster now comes with more standard features, but one key feature has been deleted.
Let’s start with the bad news, the Veloster Turbo Ultimate model is no longer available with a manual transmission, but it is standard on the Turbo R-Spec model. That’s the only downer for the 2020 model year, since the Veloster is now packed with more features. A blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert is standard on the Turbo R-Spec, plus Turbo and Turbo Ultimate models have wireless charging for your phone.
On the outside the front grille, front and rear fascia accents and side skirts now gloss black, instead of flat black.
The Veloster comes standard with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Step up to the turbo models and you’ll get a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
