In the US the Kona Electric is powered by a 201 horsepower electric motor and a 64 kWh lithium-ion battery. Hyundai also points out that the battery pack density is greater than that of the Chevy Bolt, one of its main rivals. The Kona Electric is also more efficient than the Nissan Leaf at 117 MPGe.
