Mazda is giving the CX-9 crossover a long list of upgrades for the 2018 model year. The upgrades to the 2018 Mazda CX-9 include changes to the second and third row seats, to provide easier access, Smart City Brake Support, new colors and G-Vectoring Control.

Inside passengers in the second and third row seats will now be more comfortable and access to the third row seat has been improved. Mazda has also added more sound insulation to give the CX-9 one of the quietest interiors in its class. The 2018 CX-9 gets Smart City Brake Support (SCBS), which can automatically apply the brakes in emergency situations below 19 mph. Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are also standard as well.

The CX-9 is one of the sportier SUVs in the three-row crossover segment and for 2018 the CX-9 now comes standard with G-Vectoring Control to give it an even more dynamic driving experience. G-Vectoring Control uses the engine in conjunction with steering and throttle inputs to minutely reduce engine torque, putting more weight on the front wheels and making the steering feel more linear and direct.
