The 2018 Ford Mustang is getting a host of upgrades to challenge its long time rival, the Chevy Camaro. The biggest news is that the 2018 Mustang GT now generates 460 horsepower from its 5.0L V8, which is five horsepower more than the Camaro SS. While the upgrades should help the 2018 Mustang battle the Camaro, Ford may have another upgrade in the works.
There are several reports that Ford is working on a “Level 2” Performance Package for the Mustang that could amp up the 2018 Mustang’s performance even more. The standard GT Performance Package adds an upgraded suspension, bigger Brembo brakes, 19-inch black wheels, a larger radiator and unique chassis tuning. While Mustang6G recently found docs listing the “Level 2″ Performance Package, we don’t know yet what exactly will be included other than 19” Dark Tarnish wheels.
Ford has yet to confirm anything, but if the ordering guide that Mustang6G posted is accurate, the Level 2 Performance Package will arrive in December.
