Dodge has unveiled the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT, which is the most powerful three-row SUV with its 475-horsepower 392-cubic-inch Hemi V8 engine. It reaches 60 mph in an insanely fast 4.4 seconds and has a quarter-mile time of 12.9 seconds.

In addition to the 475-hp, the naturally-aspirated 6.4L V8 also generates a healthy 470 lb-ft. of torque and it’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that has been specially calibrated for the Durango SRT. Other performance upgrades include stiffer front springs, stiffer rear springs, a stiffer rear sway bar and new Brembo high-performance six-piston (front) and four-piston (rear) calipers with vented rotors at all four corners.

The Durango SRT will also features a seven-mode drive system gives the driver the ability to precisely adjust drive settings to maximize performance or comfort. The Sport Mode reduces shift times by up to 50 percent versus Auto Mode and delivers up to 65 percent of the engine’s torque to the rear wheels. The Track Mode delivers maximum performance track driving with 160-millisecond shifts and up to 70 percent of engine torque to the rear wheels.
Lastly there’s a new exhaust system and even the all-wheel drive system has been upgraded to improve the large SUV’s performance.
Inside the interior is wrapped in Laguna leather and carbon fiber trim. It also features a hand-wrapped instrument panel with live silver accent stitch, SRT flat-bottom steering wheel with SRT paddle shifters, heated and ventilated front and heated second-row captain’s chairs with embossed SRT logos.
On the outside, the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT gets a SRT hood with functional center air-inlet ducts flanked by heat extractors. A new front fascia and lower valence house the new cold-air duct and LED fog lamps. The Durango SRT’s face is finished off with a grille mesh pattern finish.
From the side, there are new integrated wheel flares and body-color side rocker panels and “392” badges flanking each fender with Bright Chrome and Metallic Grey accents. At the rear, a new SRT rear body-color lower fascia with Gloss Black accent surrounds the 4-inch dual round exhaust tips finished in Nickel Chrome.
The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT is going to debut this week at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show on Feb. 9 before it arrives in Dodge dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2017.
