The SRX is out and in its place Cadillac has introduced the Cadillac XT5 crossover. The XT5 is the beginning of a new range of crossovers from Cadillac, with the next one being a smaller XT3. But back to the XT5. Is it a worthy replacement for the SRX? Here are the top five things you need to know about the 2017 Cadillac XT5:

The XT5 isn’t going to satisfy any drivers that want a sportier SUV. The standard V6 engine is already uninspiring and unfortunately the steering and suspension don’t do much to help. The steering is light and the suspension is tuned a bit too soft to make the XT5 engaging to drive.

If you’re not looking for a comfortable SUV over something sporty, then the XT5 is right up your alley with its soft suspension and quiet interior. Cruising along the highway on our way to Las Vegas, the XT5 swallowed the road’s imperfections with ease. It wasn’t really exciting to drive, but it was pretty comfortable and relaxed.
