Hyundai is reportedly going to release a new app for the 2015 Genesis that will give give Google Glass users the ability to control “pre-drive” operations via their wearable electronic device.
Hyundai is reportedly going to release a new app for the 2015 Genesis that will give give Google Glass users the ability to control “pre-drive” operations via their wearable electronic device. The feature which is an extension of Hyundai’s Blue Link in-car system will give drivers the ability to perform operations like remote starts and route planning via the Google Glass application.
Hyundai is quick to point out that the application is only for pre-drive operations and will not work when you’re behind the wheel of the 2015 Genesis. “The goal is that when you get to the car to start your trip, the drive is less stressful,” stated Hyundai spokesman, Miles Johnson.
The new Google Glass app will debut next week at the International CES show in Las Vegas.
