Mercedes-Benz is going to unveil the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition and 2015 S65 AMG simultaneously this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show and Tokyo Motor Show.
Mercedes-Benz is going to unveil the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition and 2015 S65 AMG simultaneously this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show and Tokyo Motor Show. “The two new AMG high-performance vehicles represent the spectacular next level for our exciting model array. The S 65 AMG stands for maximum exclusiveness and the unparalleled dynamism of a V12. With the SLS AMG GT FINAL EDITION we are showing an ultimate, particularly attractive variant of our super sports car,” stated Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
The 2015 S65 AMG is powered by a 6.0L twin-turbocharged V12 engine that packs 621 horsepower and 738 lb-ft. of torque. It only takes 4.3 seconds to reach 0-62 mph and it has a top speed of 155 mph. Sales will kick off in March 2014 and pricing will start at € 232,050 in Germany, but US pricing hasn’t been announced.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition signals the end of the SLS AMG. The SLS AMG GT Final Edition is powered by a 6.3L V8 with 591 horsepower. It looks almost identical to the regular SLS, but it gets a unique carbon fiber hood and a slightly restyled front and rear fascia. Only 350 units will be produced.
