2009 Cadillac CTS-V Officially Puts out 556 Horsepower

When the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V was unveiled earlier this year, Cadillac estimated its final output at 550 horsepower, but now it is confirmed and the car actually produces 556 horsepower.

The 2009 CTS-V is powered by a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine that puts out 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft. of torque. Cadillac claims that the car will reach 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and the quarter mile in 12 seconds flat. The top speed when equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission is limited to 175 mph and the six-speed manual is capable of reaching 191 mph.
