Hyundai Announces the ix35 aka Tucson Fuel Cell Vehicle

Hyundai has announced the introduction of its ix35 Fuel Cell vehicle, which will be available for public and private lease by the end of this year. In December 2012, Hyundai will begin production of the ix35 Fuel Cell at its Ulsan manufacturing facility in Korea, with a target of building up to 1,000 vehicles by 2015. Beyond 2015, Hyundai plans limited mass production of the ix35 Fuel Cell, with a goal of 10,000 units.

Hennessey Performance has released sketches of its new Hennessey Venom 700R and Hennessey Venom 1000 models, which are based on the 2013 SRT Viper and Viper GTS models. The Hennessey upgrades are available after you purchase your new 2013 Viper. Just in case you forgot, the 2013 Viper starts at $97,395 for the Viper and the Viper GTS lists for $120,395.

Toyota Smart INSECT is a One-Seater EV with Gullwing Doors

Although Toyota has pretty much abandoned plans for the electric Toyota iQ, Toyota is set to unveil a new electric vehicle, the Smart INSECT at the CEATEC electronics show in Japan. The Smart INSECT (Information Network Social Electric City Transporter) is a one-seater electric vehicle that uses motion sensors, voice recognition and behavior prediction software to connect to the driver.

Fisker Recieves $100 Million in New Funding for the Atlantic

Although the Fisker news lately has been negative with the recent recalls, a new announcement brings a bit of hope to the automaker. Fisker has announced that it has a received a new round of funding to build its second model, the Fisker Atlantic. Fisker has reportedly received $100 million for the continued development and future production of the new sedan.

Mercedes-Benz and the Renault-Nissan Alliance have just announced plans to collaborate on two new projects to accelerate development of fuel-efficient powertrains. Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn and Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche confirmed the new projects, which include a new engine and a new automatic transmission in an annual media update about the Franco-Japanese-German partnership.

The all-new Jaguar F-Type has just been unveiled at an event in Musée Rodin, Paris. The Jaguar F-Type two-seater convertible is a big deal for Jaguar, since it is a continuation of a sporting bloodline that stretches back more than 75 years. The F-Type was originally preview by the Jaguar C-X16 concept that debuted last fall. The biggest difference between the concept car and what you see here is that the roof has been chopped off the F-Type. It still hasn't been decided if Jaguar will build a coupe version.

2013 Infiniti FX Starts at $44,300

Infiniti has announced the pricing for the 2013 Infiniti FX crossover, which starts at $44,300. For 2013, the biggest change to the FX is under the hood, with a new 325-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 replacing the 3.5-liter V6. Now named the FX37, it is available in three models: FX37 RWD, FX37 AWD and FX Limited Edition. If you want more power, the FX50 AWD with standard 390-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 and All-Wheel Drive is also offered.

2013 Infiniti G37 Starts at $36,900

Infiniti has announced the pricing for the 2013 Infiniti G37 Sedan, which starts at $36,900. For the 2013 model year, the Infiniti G lineup has been simplified with the deletion of the base G25 model. The G37 is now only offered in three models: G37 Sedan Journey, G37x Sedan AWD and G37 Sedan Sport 6MT.

Toyota has just unveiled the full electric version of the Toyota iQ, which is sold here as the Scion iQ. The 2013 Toyota iQ EV is powered by a 47kW electric motor that is mated to a lithium-ion battery with a range of approximately 53 miles.

Hyundai and ARK Performance have teamed up to create the ultimate Genesis Coupe, the Genesis Coupe R-Spec Track Edition. This special Genesis Coupe's 3.8L engine has been upgraded and now puts out 395 horsepower at 6800 rpm, and 340 lb.-ft. at 5400 rpm. From the exterior, the ARK design theme takes the muscular character lines of the Genesis Coupe to the extreme, with race-like flared over-fenders, an aggressive front splitter, and carbon-fiber hood with heat-extractor vents.

Honda Confirms New Compact SUV and New Fuel Cell Vehicle

Cadillac has announced that three of its models are being offered with a new safety system that can automatically stop the vehicle in low-speed conditions to help avoid crashes. Cadillac's Front and Rear Automatic Braking acts like a "virtual bumper," slamming on the brakes as a last resort to help drivers in heavy traffic or even in parking lots and driveways where the driver might fail to see another vehicle or object in his path.

Ford has just announced that the all-new 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid has been rated as the most fuel-efficient midsize sedan available in America. Toyota Announces $599 a Month Lease for the 2012 Toyota RAV4 EV

The electric 2012 Toyota RAV4 EV officially goes on sale on September 24th starting at $49,800. If that price seems a bit steep Toyota has just announced that the RAV4 EV will launch with special financing and lease rates.

Ford's new third-generation hybrid system is debuting this fall in models like the Ford Fusion and C-Max hybrids. Unlike earlier hybrid systems that relied on nickel-metal-hydride batteries, the new system uses lithium-ion batteries that are lighter and more efficient. Ford Opens Flat Rock Assembly Plant for Mustang and Fusion Production

2013 Acura TL Gets IIHS Top Safety Rating and Starts at $35,905

The 2013 Acura TL has received the top-level rating of GOOD in the new Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) small overlap frontal barrier crash test. The new IIHS small overlap frontal barrier crash test is designed to simulate a collision between a vehicle traveling 40 miles per hour and a fixed object, such as a utility pole, where only 25 percent of the vehicle's front structure is engaged by the opposing object. Acura can be happy since the TL was one of only two vehicles to achieve the highest rating of "Good" among a group of 11 models that were the first to be tested under the new crash test protocol.

Nissan has announced the pricing for the 2013 Nissan Maxima, which starts at $32,780. The 2013 Nissan Maxima also gets a new SV Value Package for the Maxima 3.5 SV. It combines the contents of the Bose Audio Package and the Cold Package, which is would normally cost $1,500, but the new package brings the final price down to $1,000 resulting in a $500 savings.

Chevy Racing is renewing its fight against breast cancer this weekend at at Atlanta Motor Speedway. For every lap run under the caution flag Chevy will give a $200 contribution to the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative.
