Nissan has reportedly decided to kill the hybrid versions of the Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 SUVs. The 2016 Pathfinder and QX60 will only be available in the regular gasoline-powered versions.
Nissan has reportedly decided to kill the hybrid versions of the Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 SUVs. The 2016 Pathfinder and QX60 will only be available in the regular gasoline-powered versions.
The news isn’t too shocking, since the front-wheel-drive hybrid versions only returned a 3-mpg improvement over the non-hybrid versions. The all-wheel-drive versions only had a 4-mph improvement. Both versions were powered by a 2.5L four-cylinder and an electric motor.

There’s still a chance of a Rogue hybrid down the line and there may also be a better hybrid system in the works, since Nissan is working on better battery technology. The next Leaf could have a driving range around 250 miles, which is much longer than today’s Leaf.
