The news shouldn’t be too surprising, but MINI will reportedly end production of the slow selling Paceman by the end of this year. Production of the three-door crossover Paceman is ending, since BMW needs more production capacity for the upcoming all-new 5 Series.

The Paceman is built in Graz, Austria at a BMW factory that’s run by Magna Steyr. Magna Steyr recently announced that production of the new 5 Series will kick off at some point next year. Back in 2014 MINI announced that it would shift its focus away from its slower selling models, like the already gone MINI Coupe and the Roadster. The Paceman was also on this list.

In the near future MINI is expected to unveil an all-new Countryman, which will grow a bit to attract more crossover buyers. A four-door sedan has also been rumored.
