Now that the Honda Insight and CR-Z models are gone, Honda is finally getting serious about electrified models. The revamp started with the revised Accord Hybrid, which will be followed by the Clarity Fuel Cell and the Clarity Electric and Clarity Plug-in hybrid models that are going to arrive this year. Honda has now confirmed that a new dedicated hybrid will be added to the lineup next year.
As part of the Honda Electrification Initiative, Honda plans to significantly expand the number of electrified models in its lineup. More than half of all new models launching in the next two years will be electrified. This also includes adding its two-motor hybrid system to its light truck lineup.
