Chrysler is reportedly going to debut a new electric version of the Pacifica minivan next month at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Chrysler is also going to skip the Detroit Auto Show that kicks off a few days after CES, which is the first time the automaker will not debut a new car or truck in Detroit in seven years.

If Chrysler is indeed going to unveil a new electric Pacifica minivan next month, it only makes sense that the automaker reveals it at CES, instead of the Detroit Auto Show. Chevy did the same thing earlier this year when it revealed the electric Chevy Bolt at CES instead of in Detroit.

Chrysler already sells a plug-in hybrid version of the Pacifica, but has yet to confirm the reports of a fully electric version.
