Following news that the rear-drive Tesla Model S 75 is going away, Tesla has also revealed another update – leather seats are no longer available. Tesla hasn’t made an announcement about the deletion of the leather seat option on its vehicles, but if you check out its configurator, you won’t see leather listed.

All Tesla’s will now come with seats that are wrapped in a new synthetic aka vegan material. The move aligns with Tesla’s mission statement, “to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.”

If you’re disappointed by the lack of leather in the interior of Tesla’s new models, you’ll be happy to hear that a leather-wrapped steering wheel is still an option.
