It’s been reported for a while now that VW has been working on a new larger crossover with three rows of seats. This week at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, VW will preview its new seven-passenger crossover with a concept version. The new crossover will give VW a model that can effectively go head to head with other models like the Ford Explorer and Nissan Pathfinder.
The seven-passenger crossover has been designed specifically for the US market and will reportedly be cheaper than the current Touareg. The photo you see here has leaked out ahead of the crossover’s debut tomorrow at the show. We still don’t know what it’s called, but it will be built at VW’s plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
