Toyota Fuel Cell Concept Sedan Debuts at 2014 Consumer Electronics Show

Toyota has high hopes for its upcoming fuel cell vehicle and is previewing it with a new FCV concept that is going to have its U.S. debut next month at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Toyota has high hopes for its upcoming fuel cell vehicle and is previewing it with a new FCV concept that is going to have its U.S. debut next month at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. In addition to showing off the FCV concept, Toyota will also reveal its fuel cell “test mule”, which logged thousands of miles during rigorous quality and durability testing on U.S. roadways.

The FCV concept is powered by a small fuel cell stack and two 70 MPa hydrogen tanks. The Toyota FC Stack has a power output density of 3 kW/L and an output of at least 100 kW. The production version of the FCV concept is expected to arrive sometime in 2015.
