Last week it was reported that the executive vice-president of Volkswagen of America, Adrian Hallmark, did not want the upcoming VW Scirocco to come to the U.S. He fears that it would cannibalize sales of the popular GTI.
Now comes word that from the home office that the car may still come to the U.S. The final decision will come from the company boss, Martin Winterkorn in Germany. A decision is expected around the same time as the 2008 Geneva Auto Show.
