The Honda Fit/ Jazz subcompact has been a hit for Honda. The automaker just announced that the Honda has sold 2 million units of the current model, which came out in 2001. Honda CEO Takeo Fukui has confirmed that the next generation Fit/Jazz will be unveiled this fall. Sales of the new car will start in Japan this fall and in the U.S. soon after.
The Fit has only been in the U.S. for about a year and a half, but it is already an immediate success here as well. Honda can’t make enough of the car.
The new Fit will be marginally bigger than the current version, which will result in more interior room. The same engines are expected to carryover as well, although a hybrid version could eventually be released.
