The 2008 Saturn Vue Costs $3,300 More than its Predecessor

Saturn has released the pricing of its all-new 2008 Saturn Vue. The new SUV will start $3,295 higher than the model it is replacing. That means that the new Vue will start at $21,395, which is right in the price range of its main competitors.

The Honda CR-V starts at $21,195 and the Toyota RAV4 starts at $21,595. It is still more expensive than the Ford Escape that starts at $19,985.

According to GM’s chief engineer for compact and crossover vehicles, Robert Reuter, the price increase is justified by a larger standard engine. The new 2008 Vue has a larger 2.4L 4-cylinder with 169hp. The base VUE also comes standard with 16-inch wheels and a full list of standard safety equipment.
