Subaru fans that are eager to get their hands on the Subaru’s new 2013 BRZ rear-wheel-drive coupe better act fast. It’s being reported that Subaru is only planning on bringing 6,000 of the coupes to the U.S. for the 2013 model year.

Car and Driver recently confirmed Subaru’s plans for the coupe with a Subaru dealer, while Subaru’s website only states that the BRZ will be built in “extremely limited quantities.” These plans seem to coincide with previous statements from Subaru. Subaru’s business case for the BRZ has stated that Subaru only required 5000 to 7000 units to be sold at around $25,000.

Pricing for the 2013 BRZ has not been released, but Subaru is currently taking pre-orders for the BRZ with fully refundable deposits, although the coupe isn’t slated to arrive until sometime between May and November.
