Restyled 2015 Honda CR-V Gets More Torque, MPG and Features

Honda has unveiled the restyled 2015 Honda CR-V, which is getting a long list of updates that should help it stay at the top of the small SUV segment.

Honda has unveiled the restyled 2015 Honda CR-V, which is getting a long list of updates that should help it stay at the top of the small SUV segment. The biggest updates include a new engine with more torque, a CVT transmission, more available safety technology and a restyled exterior.
The exterior of the 2015 CR-V gets a new face with an updated grille, LED lighting, new alloy wheels and some smaller styling tweaks to the rear. Honda also made some other changes under the skin, including an updated suspension design with revised shock absorber tuning.

2015 Honda CR-V

Under the hood the 2015 CR-V is powered by a new 2.4L direct-injected DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower and 181 lb-ft. of torque, which is 11 percent more torque than than the outgoing engine generated. The four-cylinder is mated to a standard CVT transmission, which also helps the CR-V’s fuel efficiency improve by up to 4 mpg. The CR-V is rated at 27/34 mpg with front-wheel-drive models and 26/33 mpg with AWD.

Inside the 2015 CR-V’s interior has been updated with a new configurable center console, new rear console heat/air ventilation ducts, and an available 7-inch touchscreen Display Audio telematics interface. The CR-V comes standard with 7-inch Display Audio, a 10-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, Honda LaneWatch, Smart Entry/Push-Button Start and LED daytime running lights.

Lastly the CR-V can be equipped with a long list of safety technologies that includes Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning and Honda LaneWatch.

A new Touring trim level comes standard with the Collision Mitigation Braking System and Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and Honda LaneWatch. The Touring trim level also adds a power tailgate.

Pricing for the 2015 CR-V starts at $24,150 and goes all the way up to $33,600 for the Touring trim level with AWD.
